Tell us a little about the nature of the project, in terms of scope, concept, design style, material choices, etc.
“This is a duplex on a high floor in a luxury tower located on the first line to the sea in Bat Yam, in the sought-after and developing area of the city. The Dolfax enjoys unspoiled and spectacular views of the coastline and a never-ending horizon. The duplex was designed for a couple in the 1950s who lead a busy career life and serves them as a home where they come to relax on weekends, entertain and spend time with the family. The design style seeks to create an apartment that feels like a hotel room, prestigious and meticulous, yet – of a home that is pleasant to stay and relax in. Contributing to this are the natural materials chosen for the project, in bright colors with an element of reflectivity in order to take advantage of the spectacular view of the sea that can be seen from every window in the apartment.”

At what stage of the project did you decide on a smart home, and what did it require of you at the level of planning electrical plans?
“Already at the planning stage, I integrated Vitrea – I sent them the electricity, lighting and air conditioning plans, and after characterizing the project, they issued me detailed technical planning, including pricing for contractor work.”
What are the reasons you chose Vitrea’s smart home system?
“I chose Vitrea Smart home for 3 main reasons: first of all because of the visibility of the switches, with and without a frame (I love the new frame), and thinking about the small details and precision in the switch design. Another reason is the very high reliability of the wireless system (I have it at home and in the office), and in addition, because of Vitrea’s ease of execution and service, which have given me and my customers peace of mind for many years.”

Why a smart home? What is its added value to daily life and the living experience?
“In such a large house there are a lot of electrical elements. Manual and one-time infections consume a lot of time and are uncomfortable. A smart home enables quality of life and facilitates daily tasks (turning lighting on and off, air conditioners, electric heater, blinds and curtains, etc.), saving electricity and especially comfort: morning scenario – opens the whole house, night scenario – closes the whole house and leaves a small and useful point of light.”

What are your tips as an interior designer for designing a smart home?
“To sit with the clients at the planning stage, to research and understand the family’s routine in order to create scenarios that match their lifestyle and needs, that will be convenient and easy to use and that will upgrade the quality of life for them in their new home.”

“There are a number of scenarios, all of which are useful and improve the quality of life of the members of the household, but the most popular and also the most useful scenarios by and by my clients are the scenarios: “Good morning” and “Good night”.
